What does Rewind backup for BigCommerce stores?

Our goal for Rewind is to build a backup solution that protects your entire store. We won't stop until we do that.
At this time, Rewind currently backs up the following items:
- Products and Product Images
- Product Variant Images
- Option Sets
- Product reviews
- Category Images
- Price Lists
- BigCommerce Brands
- Brand Images
- Configurable fields
- 301 Redirects
- Blog Posts
- Gift Certificates
*For Themes, Rewind can automatically backup and rewind your store's Stencil Theme(s). We cannot backup your Blueprint Themes, however, as there is no API to access these Blueprint Templates.
For PRODUCTS, we backup the following aspects:
- Product details
- Product Images
- Product Variants
- Product Options
- Videos (links to the video, not the source video)
- Product-BasedComplex rules*
- Option Sets
- Custom fields
- Bulk pricing rules
***Please Note: While we can currently backup and rewind Product-based Complex Rules, we're not able to rewind/restore Option Set Complex Rules, as BigCommerce doesn't provide that data via their API.***
Additionally, WHEN EDITING YOUR PRODUCTS IN BIGCOMMERCE: BigCommerce doesn't yet provide us all of the web-hooks necessary to be able to note all Product changes (specifically ones that are saved inline/automatically by BigCommerce), and so we strongly recommend clicking the "Save" button on your Product page periodically when updating/editing a Product.
This will ensure that ALL aspects of the Product are being saved by BigCommerce while you're working on it, in the way Rewind needs in order to be able to properly back those Product changes up for you to your Vault.***
We can also rewind/restore Images in your Pages, Reviews, and Blog Posts so long as the link to its original source is still valid/intact. If the original source removes the Image(s) from their end, we will no longer be able to bring the Image(s) back in a rewind.
Lastly, at this time, due to BigCommerce's settings, rules, and API, Rewind does NOT yet backup and/or rewind: Store Settings, other Apps (and their data therein), Shipping data, or Metadata. Please not that this is not a comprehensive list.
When does Rewind for BigCommerce run a backup?
On all our plans, Rewind backs up any changes made within the entire store once a day, at midnight (local time).
In addition - on all but our Free Flex plan - we backup certain data continuously, ensuring that every change you make is reflected in Rewind.
These plan-holders can also run a manual store backup at their convenience.
For BigCommerce store owners, we continuously backup the following items in real-time:
**PLEASE NOTE: All other items (i.e. Pages, Blog Posts, Redirects, Brands, Themes, etc.) are only saved when your next store backup is run, and NOT in real-time. BigCommerce doesn't yet provide us the necessary WebHooks for real-time backups of these types of data.**
To ensure all alterations to your store are saved as needed: if your plan allows for manual backups, we strongly recommend performing backups along the time, so that all work can be properly stored to your Vault.
